Going through some poetry scratched out in a workshop at the Florida Writers Association Conference in October, I stumbled across these two short off-the-heart poems. I needed a post for the day, so, what the heck!
We dozed in the palace of matrimony
Sleeping beauties – unaware.
Woken to mold and decay
A daunting mess
But we’re in separate rooms
Replete with treasures of the soul
Ripple life’s myriad pages
Balanced by captured moments in time
Bittersweet painted love
A yawning chasm of pain
Enigma never sluethed
Poetic revelations a collage of existence
