Day eight of the thirty straight days of poetry in National Poetry Writing Month. The first seven have been a joy to write. Anytime a writer takes on an endeavor such as this, it appears the universe conspires against him. Truly, the writer that stays focused and intentional will complete the task.

Today’s poem:

Cavernous emptiness
Holes where holes shouldn’t exist
Questions. Camps. Collisions.
Power. Control. Domination.

Ice cream sweet
Encouragement in all circumstances
Support. Team. Connection.
Love. Grace. Acquiescence.
