You sit, reposed in effortless beauty
Longing nestles my heart
With dreams of fingers intertwined.

You sit, smiles dawning across your face
Sure as the sun rises
To brighten this world’s every day.
On the other side of the door
You sit, regal yet playful,
Always the lady a man could love forever
Forever the consummate Princess
On the other side of the door
You sit, gentle and kind,
Tugging my heart without knowing,
I’m captivated, enthralled, slain.
On the other side of the door
My lifeblood pumps through your arteries
Warmth, love, hope, peace, each your attributes
Embracing my life to my complete wonderment
On the other side of the door
You sit, my longing for you sincere
Your approach denied by circumstance
Yet hope slips into my heart like a lilting breeze…
